Updated April 2012: For the longest time I lived on the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland with my better half and our gerbils. A few years back we moved back to Norway, and are now quite settled in our idyllic corner of the world (Lillehammer). We now have 4 gerbils after an unfortunate case of mistaken gender. The number of sewing machines have reduced to just 3, the pattern and fabrics collection got so large it could no longer be contained, and are now residing in 3 large, double width chest of drawers in our new home. Stay tuned for musings on patterns, books and all things vintage.

Nice....

I have found a fantastic web page with fashion plates from the victorian era, just the kind of inspiration I was looking for for my own outfit. If you want a look for yourselves, you'll find the web page here:

I haven't had the time to start on the outfits yet, as I'm in the middle of other projects; Angelas wedding dress and I've also taken on the task of making a corset for Jetta. Funny thing, all of a sudden my skills are very much in demand, and this happens when I'm planning to leave the country and simply have not got he time to take on all the jobs I've been offered. There are two other girls at work getting married, who've approached me. Had to turn them down. And another girl who wanted a fabulous couture gown. Oh well. I will never the less try and get around to putting up a page displaying the things I've made so far, including my current projects. But it will probably have to wait till me and Stig are back in Norway.

I've found a lovely fabric I'm concidering for my dress:

I'm thinking of using it for the skirt, and on the lapels/ cuffs on the bodice. Or perhaps as a contrasting front panel. I'm a bit insecure how it will turn out as I haven't really got around to deciding on the pattern yet.
